An insecticide spray that sticks to bugs has been developed by Reckitt Benckiser (GB 2354006). The insecticide comes in an aerosol spray can. A nylon nozzle with a narrow aperture creates friction, giving the emerging droplets an electrostatic charge so that they stick to the insects. The aerosol fluid is an emulsion of glycol oleate, paraffin oil and deionised water, which holds the charge. The active ingredients are tetramethrin, which quickly disables the insect, and permethrin, which kills it. The inventors say the same principle can be used to make hairspray,
